Richard H. Weiss, a veteran business litigation and trial attorney, is the founder of the Law Offices of Richard Weiss, who has offices in Los Angeles (Century City) and Nevada. The law firm’s practice areas general business law, including preparing, negotiating and reviewing various type of agreements, corporate law, real estate law, employment law, personal injury law, and investor fraud. Mr. Weiss offers a unique skill set to clients by combining his love of business and new technologies with his trial work experience to address the issues that businesses may confront throughout their operations.
Mr. Weiss, who is admitted to practice in the States of California and Nevada, as well as the Central District of the United States District Court. He is a member of, and active in, numerous professional legal organizations, including the Los Angeles Consumer Attorneys Association and Nevada Justice Association.
A southern California native, Mr. Weiss received his B.A. in speech communications from California State University Northridge, and he obtained his Juris Doctorate degree in 1989 from Whittier College School of Law. Mr. Weiss began his career as an associate of a Los Angeles law firm, where he successfully represented clients bringing and defending lawsuits for over a decade. During his distinguished career, Mr. Weiss has had extensive experience in representing individuals and corporations. He has provided counsel relating to a wide variety of legal matters, including business litigation and transactional matters, premises liability, automobile accidents and work related injuries, coverage and insurance bad faith, real estate litigation and other tort matters. Some of Mr. Weiss’ clients have been, licensed health-care professionals such as physicians, dentists, psychologists, and other business professionals such as real estate salespersons and brokers, developers architects and designers, insurance brokers, contractors, subcontractors, homeowners, artists, and other professionals facing litigation or investigation.
Mr. Weiss has performed pro bono legal services to various charitable causes, including the Glenridge Parent’s Group. He frequently speaks to small business industry groups regarding various legal issues facing businesses on subjects relating to his legal areas of expertise. Mr. Weiss has attended hundreds of seminars and events over the years in order to be informed of the latest laws and litigation strategies, and to further hone his litigation and trial skills. He continues to educate himself in the legal field to ensure he meets the needs of every client.
